Lācuka Tennis School for Children

Lācuka Tennis School is a place where children take their first steps in movement and tennis – in a safe, playful, and warm environment.
The school is created for the youngest athletes so that movement becomes a joy, not a duty.

Playful movement and tennis basics

In the classes, we combine movement games, coordination development, and tennis basics, adapting them to the child's age, temperament, and individual abilities. Here, every child is welcome just as they are — active or cautious, brave or quiet.

Safe and supportive environment

The Lācuka approach is based on the belief that a sense of safety is the foundation for development. Therefore, classes take place in a calm, supportive atmosphere, without rush or comparison. We learn to move, listen, cooperate, and celebrate small achievements.

Class formats for children and families

Lācuka Tennis School offers both group classes for children and parent & child classes, so that each child can grow at their own pace and with the support they need.

Our goal

Our goal is not to raise champions, but rather happy children who fall in love with movement, sports, and tennis from their very first steps.

Agate Gurecka

Agate is the heart and creator of Lācuka — a tennis coach, mother, and a person who truly believes in the importance of movement for a child's development from the earliest age.

Experience and education

With more than 20 years of experience in tennis, Agate combines professional knowledge with a warm, child-friendly approach in her work. As she says herself — tennis has become not only her passion but also her life's work. In the classes she leads, the main thing is not results or skills, but a sense of safety, the joy of movement, and the child's self-confidence.

Agate has obtained a bachelor's degree in sports and dance pedagogy from Liepāja University, as well as a master's degree from the Latvian Academy of Sports Education, regularly improving her knowledge and skills in working with children.

Approach to children

As a mother, Agate understands especially well how different children are — some are brave and active, others are quieter and more cautious. Therefore, in Lācuka's classes, every child is listened to and accepted as they are, allowing them to grow at their own pace and without pressure.
