Lācuks Tennis School for Children

Lācuks Tennis School is a place where children take their first steps in movement and tennis – in a safe, playful, and warm environment.
The school is created for the youngest athletes so that movement becomes a joy, not a duty.

Playful movement and tennis basics

In the classes, we combine movement games, coordination development, and the basics of tennis, adapting them to the child's age, temperament, and individual abilities. Here, every child is welcome just as they are — active or cautious, brave or quiet.

Safe and supportive environment

The Lācuks approach is based on the belief that a sense of safety is the foundation for development. That’s why classes take place in a calm, supportive atmosphere, without rush or comparison. We learn to move, listen, cooperate, and celebrate small achievements.

Class formats for children and families

Lācuks Tennis School offers both group classes for children and parent & child classes, so that every child can grow at their own pace and with the support they need.

Our goal

Our goal is not to raise champions, but rather happy children who fall in love with movement, sports, and tennis from their very first steps.

Agata Gurecka

Agata is the heart and creator of Lācuks — a tennis coach, mother, and a person who truly believes in the importance of movement in a child's development from the earliest age.

Experience and education

With more than 20 years of experience in tennis, Agata combines professional knowledge with a warm, child-friendly approach in her work. As she herself says — tennis has become not only her passion but also her life's work. In her classes, the main focus is not on results or skills, but on a sense of safety, the joy of movement, and the child's self-confidence.

Agata has obtained a bachelor's degree in sports and dance pedagogy at Liepāja University, as well as a master's degree at the Latvian Academy of Sport Education, regularly improving her knowledge and skills in working with children.

Approach to children

As a mother, Agata understands especially well how different children are — some are brave and active, others are quieter and more cautious. That’s why in Lācuks classes, every child is listened to and accepted as they are, allowing them to grow at their own pace and without pressure.
